Position Summary:
As an EN with Agility Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to clients in a variety of settings, including aged care facilities, hospitals, and community settings. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to clients in accordance with best practice guidelines, relevant legislation, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by an RN, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to medication administration protocols.
- Perform a range of nursing procedures, including wound care, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers.
- Promote client independence and maintain client dignity and respect at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client care activities in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Participate in clinical supervision and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain a professional and ethical approach to all aspects of nursing practice.
- Comply with all relevant legislation and industry specific standards.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per client and agency requirements.
- Quality, Safety, Risk and Improvement
- Maintain an understanding of individual responsibility for patient safety, quality & risk and contribute to organisational quality and safety initiatives
- Follow organisational safety, quality & risk policies and guidelines
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and members of the public.
- Escalate concerns regarding safety, quality & risk to appropriate staff member, if unable to rectify yourself.
- Promote and participate in the evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
- Comply with principles of Patient Centred Care.
- Comply with Agility Health mandatory continuous professional development requirements.
- Comply with requirement of National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)/ AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Current Australian CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Recent experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an Australian healthcare setting (aged care, hospitals, community).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Right to work in Australia.
- Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in aged care.
- Experience in palliative care.
- Experience in dementia care.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
